The DCATA Athletic Trainer of the Year award recognizes the athletic trainer working in the District of Columbia who exemplifies excellence in the field of athletic training.


Eligibility:

Current DCATA member in good standing

Not a current DCATA Board member

Must be nominated by a DCATA member in good standing

The DCATA Athletic Trainer Service Award is an honor recognizing qualified DCATA members in the District of Columbia for their service and contributions to the profession of athletic training and the Association.  This unique Statehood award recipient has been dedicated at the district and local level within the District of Columbia and adjacent jurisdictions.


Eligibility:

15 years BOC certification

10 years certified membership in DCATA (may include DC registration with NATA if DCATA not active at that time)

Exemplifies the mission statements of the DCATA, MAATA, NATA and the NATA Code of Ethics

May not be a current DCATA Board Member

The DCATA Honorary Merit Award recognizes an individual who is not an athletic trainer who promotes the field of athletic training in the District of Columbia. 


Eligibility:

Must be a non-athletic trainer

Must be nominated by DCATA member

The DCATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award is a prestigious honor that recognizes qualified DCATA members for their exceptional, unique and professional contributions to the athletic training profession at the local level. This award reflects a lifetime of dedication to the Association and the field of athletic training.


Eligibility:

NATA member in good standing

 15 years BOC certified membership

 10 years certified membership in DCATA (may include DC registration with NATA if DCATA not active at that time)

Not currently serving on DCATA Board

The DCATA Hall of Fame award recognizes the exceptional and most prestigious athletic trainers working in the District of Columbia.  This athletic trainer has shown passion, dedication and made contributions that have made an impact during their career as an athletic trainer on the local level.  Nominations must be made by a DCATA athletic trainer.


Eligibility:

Current or retired NATA member in good standing

At least 10 years certified membership in the DCATA (may include DC registration with NATA if DCATA not active at that time) 

Must have worked in the District of Columbia for at least 15 years

Must have made contributions to the Association at the District of Columbia level

Not a current DCATA Board member
