Please join us for an educational program focused on improving the evaluation and management of conditions found in the young student athlete and aspects of teen development. This program is recommended for local Athletic Trainers working with young student athletes. This program will provide a maximum of 4 category A CEUs for Athletic Trainers.
- 1. Recognize how and why surgical and post-operative treatment of an ACL tear in the skeletally immature athlete differs from an adult ACL injury
- 2. Improve the athletic trainer’s ability to evaluate, treat, and manage young athletes with special needs
- 3. Recognize signs and symptoms of common conditions in the young athlete
- 4. To identify the 2016 Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan priorities for DC.

The program will consist of 4 speakers in a lecture setting. The speakers will be Physicians and Healthcare providers with specialized training and focus in sports medicine conditions and teen development.
